Where It All Started
I started my working life as a Cordon Bleu trained chef, and then somehow ended up in the City for over 15 years. After too long and two children later I'd had enough, so I embarked on being a full-time mum for the first time ever.
This came with its challenges including but not exclusively, what to give the children for dinner every night (the other being where do all the socks go?!)
My husband isn't home in time for us to eat as a family so I do a lot of cooking. I thought how it would be great to have an alternative to cooking from scratch every night when quite frankly there wasn't time, or I hadn't thought far enough in advance or it was a busy night with Brownies/swimming lessons.
So I looked in the supermarkets where there really wasn't anything that fitted the bill - lots of nourishing meals for babies and toddlers but nothing for older children.
I wondered, if I end up cooking a lot at home what happens in other families?
I asked my friends, who asked their friends, and then we got them to ask their friends and you get the picture. I found that I was not the only one juggling meal times.
In fact I discovered there is a lot of cooking going on and we could all do with a night off every now and again!
So Junior's Pantry was created for you and your children...
you give your children a wholesome nutritious meal when you just don't have the time or inspiration or plain can't be bothered don't worry I won't tell!
and your children have a yummy supper ready in 2 minutes when they're starving and tired at the end of a busy day.
