Getting your children involved in food is so much more fun than just delivering a complete meal to the table.
Children of a primary school age love getting involved and love having a job to do. One of the best meals to do that children love eating is Chicken Fajita's.
Just stir fry the chicken with a really little amount of the seasoning (and frankly it doesn't matter if you leave this out completely) with some onions and peppers (if your kids like them) and put on a platter. My kids donât like peppers so I do sticks of cucumber and carrots and throw in a few cherry tomatoes on a plate. Then with a pile of fajita's they can assemble their own wrap with tomato salsa, guacamole and sour cream. Itâs a messy supper but great fun and the children really enjoy getting involved and making their own supper.
This can be topped off with the favourite pudding in our house - any fruit topped with natural yoghurt and then a sprinkle of granola, museli or ...
